"I'm 49 years old and was a very active person 5 years ago.  I used to horseback ride, played tennis, swam, walked, went camping, etc.  For the past 5 years I've been in excruciating back pain.  I've seen over 10 physicians for my back pain in 5 years, and I have had nearly every procedure performed on my lower back including: physical therapy, pain medication, injections, prolotherapy, and radio frequency nerve ablation.  For physical therapy I went to two different clinics, both for 8 weeks.  None of the procedures or physical therapy treatments seemed to help at all.  Immediately following my first visit with Dr. Good, at the Virginia Spine Institute (VSI), he suggested I try physical therapy one more time and go to Virginia Therapy & Fitness Center (VTFC).  He told me it would be different than the physical therapy I had attended in the past.  He told me that VTFC's physical therapists have excellent manual therapy skills and he felt confident that they could help me. He was right!!!!
