Yoga / Pilates Small group classes led by certified instructors target strength and flexibility as individualized feedback is provided to ensure proper exercise performance. Many individuals from outside VTFC and patients have found these classes helpful and serve as a compliment to ongoing therapy or as part of an exercise program to help them improve their core strength and overall flexibility. Virginia Therapy & Fitness Center offers memberships to its Fitness Center for current or previous VTFC patients looking to have a facility to work-out or transition from physical therapy to the gym setting. Memberships run month to month and we currently do not require an initiation fee. Members are free to use the Fitness Center during the open clinic hours of Monday-Thursday 7am-7pm and Friday 7am-4pm.
Wellness Assessments
Several of our Physical Therapists are Certified Athletic Trainers and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialists who work with athletes of all levels to improve their athletic potential. Athletes are evaluated for any musculoskeletal and joint dysfunctions that may be impairing them from optimizing their potential. VTFC can help develop a plan and design a strategy for athletes to safely and successfully improve their athletic performance.
Personal Training
Virginia Therapy & Fitness Center offers individualized personal training, for all individuals, using the VTFC Fitness Center for those individuals looking to improve their strength, posture, and overall wellness. Our personal trainers have the ability and access to communicate with our Physical Therapy staff, as needed, to ensure proper progressions for those individuals that are transitioning from the physical therapy clinic to the gym setting or for those interested in simply needing guidance or accountability to get them in better shape. One-on-one personal training sessions can be scheduled at your convenience by contacting VTFC.
