Insurance

In order to maintain a high level of patient care, our practice serves as an out-of-network provider of physical therapy services. Virginia Therapy & Fitness Center accepts most heath insurance as an out-of-network provider. This means that you may need to meet an out-of-network deductible before your insurance will pay a percentage of services by Virginia Therapy & Fitness Center. Please review our Financial Policy for further detailed information.

How do I find out what my insurance will cover?

Contact your insurance by calling the member services number located on the back of your health insurance card. When you reach a customer service representative ask for your Out-of-Network physical therapy benefits. They should be able to tell you your benefits based on your specific policy's coverage.

Things I need to know check list:
  1. How much is my annual deductible?
  2. How much of my deductible have I met for the year?
  3. What percent of the allowable charge will my insurance cover after I meet my deductible?
  4. Do I need prior authorization for services?

(Without prior authorization patient assumes the risk that services may not be covered)

"I'm 49 years old and was a very active person.  I used to trail ride every weekend on horseback.  I played tennis, swam, walked, went camping, etc.  For the past 5 years, I've been in excruciating back pain.  I've gone to physical therapy twice, both times for 8 weeks, but they couldn't help me.  I had every procedure known to man done to me. I had no quality of life whatsoever.  Immediately following my first visit with Dr. Good at Virginia Spine Institute (VSI), he suggested I go to Virginia Therapy & Fitness Center (VTFC). Everyone at VSI and VTFC treated me like I was their only patient.  After one visit with a Physical Therapist at VTFC, I was 80% pain free when I left.  Since then I've felt the best I've ever felt in over 5 years.  I now have hope again.  As I said, I've been to 10 doctors in over 5 years without any success in managing my pain, until now.  I have never felt more at home, more cared for, more compassion from any of the places I've been.  I wish I would have gone to VSI and VTFC 5 years ago.  If you suffer in any way, you should not hesitate to visit VSI and/or VTFC.  Their office is easy to get to, beautiful, immaculate, and the staff are the most pleasant people I've ever dealt with.  I can't say enough nice things about my experience there. "
