Our licensed personal trainers work directly with our physical therapy staff, as needed, to ensure proper progression for those individuals that are transitioning from physical therapy to the gym setting or for those interested in simply needing guidance or accountability to get them in better shape. This unique fitness program is founded on the basis of teaching correct posture and core engagement, allowing our clients and patients to see how they can function more effectively when properly trained. This type of training is not only beneficial for weekend warriors or performance-based athletes, but also for those looking to improve everyday movements such as lifting, bending, and twisting.

    

About Athletic Training

Our Athletic Trainer, Jason Arnett, can help you transition from Physical Therapy to back to your previous lifestyle and beyond. Using a methodical and patient-centered approach he focuses on building activity tolerance rather than merely providing symptomatic relief. Virginia Therapy & Fitness Center’s training philosophy is strongly influenced by our Rehabilitative Fitness and Wellness Coach’s years of work in re-training postural and strength imbalances. That is why we use postural and body awareness training with all exercises, and start by limiting the intensity of exercises until clients understand how to listen to their body. In doing this clients generate better long-term success, both achieving fitness success and also maintaining these successes.
