Ryan Schott is a distinguished manual physical therapist holding a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University. With a profound understanding of hands-on therapeutic techniques and exercise prescriptions, Ryan has earned acclaim for his success in returning collegiate and professional athletes to their sports with sustainable outcomes and elevated performance levels.
Ryan’s journey into physical therapy is fueled by a passion for sports medicine and personal experiences with injuries. A former golfer and lacrosse player in high school, he continued his lacrosse career at Shenandoah University, earning both academic and athletic conference honors. Having witnessed the transformative benefits of specialized physical therapy in his recovery, Ryan is driven to help others achieve similar outcomes.
As a certified expert by the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), Ryan has delved into the intricate relationship between the body and the golf swing. Completing Level 1 of TPI’s The Body-Swing Connection, he brings a unique perspective to his practice. Currently progressing through Medical Level 1, Ryan’s dedication to enhancing golf performance through a medical lens is a testament to his commitment to ongoing education.
Ryan has completed the base level for the Schroth Method through the Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School. His passion for treating scoliosis extends beyond traditional methods, utilizing a three-dimensional approach to address the needs of patients diagnosed with this condition.
While pursuing his Doctor of Physical Therapy at Shenandoah, Ryan remained involved with the lacrosse program as a volunteer coach, primarily focusing on developing attackmen. His coaching experience adds a unique perspective to his approach, emphasizing the importance of functional movement and injury prevention.
Outside the clinic, you’ll find Ryan enjoying a round of golf, snowboarding, attending sporting events, hiking, and spending quality time with friends. Ryan looks up to the legendary Arnold Palmer, an icon in the world of golf.
