Physical Therapist

Melissa received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University’s Physical Therapy program, which gave her a strong background in manual therapy. She has years of experience treating a variety of orthopedic conditions, with a passion in helping people recover following ACL injuries and reconstruction surgery. After undergoing her own ACL reconstruction she is able to empathize with patients in the struggle of going through the recovery process following injuries and surgery. Melissa also has background in treating patients experiencing vertigo, vestibular concerns (dizziness and balance), and has training in rehabilitation following limb lengthening surgeries.

Melissa utilizes a combination of manual therapy, including trigger point dry needling, and exercise to help patients achieve their goals and return to an active lifestyle.  No matter what your goal is, Melissa will listen to your concerns and help come up with a plan to get you back to the activities you love and give you tools to prevent injuries in the future.
